Using a role-based training program our quality systems ensure that the right people are trained to the right
processes to support consistency and quality within all of our processes.
Software Development Lifecycle:
Using a documented SDLC and release process, our products are fully tested prior to a formal release.
We understand the importance of supplier management at all levels. Following our internal supplier management
program, we ensure our suppliers are assessed, have the proper agreements in place, and risk management
activities are applied. Additionally, our suppliers are monitored and periodically re-assessed to ensure
they continue to meet our quality needs.
When issues arise, we have processes to ensure issues are managed and addressed in a timely and appropriate way.
Through investigations, corrections, testing and communication with customers our Quality System is designed to
ensure all issues big or small get the attention and correction they need.
Changes including infrastructure and software updates have formal processes to ensure these are done in a
controlled way and with appropriate notifications.
The Thermo Fisher Scientific managed cloud services for SampleManager LIMS, and Core LIMS utilize Amazon
Web Services (AWS). We have defined Service Level Objectives and technical operations processes for our
cloud offerings. Our network availability objectives are defined and documented in the Service Agreements
with each customer.

Product Privacy and Security
Our LIMS software including Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS, Nautilus LIMS, Watson LIMS, and Core LIMS
software, provide technical capabilities that can be configured by customers to ensure only authorized
individuals have access to data, and data is properly secured. Features include (but are not limited to):
- access controls,
- audit logs,
- search and reporting functionality,
- importing and exporting capabilities, and
- encryption in motion.
Additionally, Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS, Core LIMS and Watson LIMS cloud services include technical
information security features such as encryption, firewall technology, and intrusion monitoring and detection.
